Mrs. McAllister had found an abandoned baby hedgehog (a hoglet) which needs to be cared for. We all watched it very carefully. It drank a little bit of water from a saucer.
We played with the dinosaurs and made colourful handprint paintings. We played a colour matching train game in the quiet room with our new student, Miss Reid. What fun we had with the tools and the bricks outside! We also had fun inside with our very funny number hats! Look at the blue pictures we made. We painted on blue paper too. We have put them in our hallway and on the classroom board. Sorting out the power rangers was a popular activity today. We baked lots of lovely things in the home corner for a party. Even the dolls came along. It was too wet to go out so we climbed on the A-frame in the hallway. We loved making necklaces with the beads today. We used colourful shapes to make pictures. (You can see them in the "Art Gallery" tab. Some of us listened to a story in the quiet room. We filled the bird feeders with the new nuts kindly and generously donated by EAST DOWN FARMERS LIMITED. Thank you very much. All 26 children were at school today for the first time.
We celebrated Amelia's birthday, so we had a very long 'birthday snack' table today for everyone. We loved washing the animals in the water tray. We built with magnetic shapes and with bricks. Outside we tried out the bikes and scooters and climbed on the A-frame. What a busy morning! We loved playing with the trucks and other vehicles on the floor. Look at how we decorated the big farm animals with our blue play dough. We had fun outside too.
Today was Anna's birthday. We all sat together for our special birthday treat.. We chose the colour for our birthday balloon. You will see them on our birthday chart.. Group 4 started school today. We had a lovely happy time playing with all the toys.
