We had a short day today as we are starting our Easter holidays. Some of us played games with Louise in the quiet room. We were only a few children at school today so we could choose what we wanted to do.
We had an easter party snack with chick mallows. The easter bunny visited while we were watching a bunny DVD. We all ran around the playground finding one easter treat at a time.. It was very eggciting!
We had a busy easter fun day. We made easter paper chains with the students. We really enjoyed the bunny Foo-foo puppet show with the appearance of the "real" good fairy. We did "bunny" dances after lunch.
We made an ambulance with wooden blocks and used a stretcher to take the babies to the hospital. At numbertime we had a "snowy time" with Eric Eight.
We started work on our lovely Easter cards today. The hospital was very busy with more patients being brought in by stretcher from the ambulance by the paramedics. We finished writing our poems for the competition. Olivia's mummy came to talk to us about being a French and Spanish teacher. We counted in both languages and we said a French "merci" thank you for the mini egg treat she gave us.
We all wore green today for our school celebrations of St. Patrick's day. We made green collage pictures and ate green fruit at the green snack table. After lunch we met Kathleen who was wearing her Irish dancing dress. She is a traveller who lives in a caravan with her family. We did our own Irish dancing after lunch with
Miss Corkin came into school today to tell us about Castle Ward and what we can do to help her there.
We walked to the library today. Lorna read us some stories and we sang some rhymes with Lorna and Mary. Some of us got our new library cards and many of us could choose a library book to borrow with our card. We had to take it to the desk to be stamped.
We all wore our pyjamas to school today!! It was such fun finding friends in the same P.J's. We played inside today in an exciting big climbing stucture in the hallway with different levels and ladders. 4 big friends from P7 in the primary school came over to read us lovely stories. We were in groups and we all heard all 4 stories. They were funny, exciting, scary and clever. We heard the story of Sir Seven after lunch. |
