Today was our last day of term so we wore our party clothes and welcomed our visitors to come and have a party with us. We had lots of treats to eat and we sang some jolly Christmas songs. HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
We had another wet outing today, but that did not deter us. We walked to Down Cathedral to listen to the Down High choir rehearsing for their carol services later today. The cathedral was VERY big and the singing was beautiful.
We had a really busy, different day with our playroom all ready to have lots of visitors today. We did a FANTASTIC performance of the very special Christmas Story. The staff all thought we were brilliant and everyone sang and spoke very confidently and happily. WELL DONE
We are all SO excited for our Nativity play tomorrow. We did REALLY well today and our teachers only hope we can repeat it for our families tomorrow. They will be so proud of us.
We made lovely scented surprises for our Mummies today. Will we be able to keep the secret?
We decorated our tree in class today. We also started painting our Nativity character in the play for our Nativity display which will be the backdrop for our play. We had a good rehearsal too.
We had our stable in use for the first time today. There were plenty of costumes for all the donkeys, camels, sheep and kings and we took turns to be Mary. We made a surprise for Daddy and we finished our lovely angels.
We walked to the Museum today to decorate a tree. It was quite cold. We went into the tea room and took turns to hang all the stars we had made on the tree. We had salt dough stars with glitter, cookie stars with a sweetie centre and "stained glass" laminated stars. The sign on our tree said: "Wish upon a star..... decorated by the Little Stars from Downpatrick Nursery School". We loved seeing our teddy bear angel star going right on top of the tree!
We LOVED our Christmas dinner today. Our favourite treat was the orange squash! We also enjoyed the cocktail sausages and choc ice dessert.
We practised our songs for the Nativity play. Everyone sang really well and we used bells and claves too with some songs.
