We started with our storysacks today. Each week 9 children will be able to choose a storysack on Wednesday and return it on Monday. The themed sacks have lovely books, games, puzzles, puppets and other toys to explore. We made emergency vehicles out of vegetable boxes today. The home corner is now a POLICE STATION with an interview room and a holding cell! It is exciting to try out the handcuffs and put the "baddies" in jail!
We had a very exciting visit from the Community Police Officers today who showed us all the equipment they carry on their belts. We also talked about how police Officers can help us. When they left we went to see the Police car and took turns to sit in it we also heard it's sirens and saw the flashing lights.
We had a new student starting today to help us in school. She is called Miss Flannigan and we played some special new listening games with her.
We had a special yellow day today to launch our main charity fundraising appeal for the year for Marie Curie Cancer Care. We decorated our daffodil pots and did daffodil paintings. We had yellow foods for snack and drew pictures of a yellow "still life". We all wore yellow clothes and had a fun day.
We made and ate pancakes today. We also had a very interesting visit from a Doctor/Mummy to tell us about a visit to the doctor.
Everyone was very happy and settled. The hospital was very busy with doctors, nurses and patients. We also painted egg boxes yellow to make daffodils.
We all enjoyed our last day of half term. We had toast hearts for snack. We noticed the new ball and water run installed on the wall outside, it looks like fun. Happy holidays!
We made special hearts by doing clever sewing around them. We posed for special heart photographs. We had another quick play outside with wheelies and horsies.
We had a new student today called Miss. McDowell. She played a fun train game with us using a colour dice to choose the colour of carriage and animal. We ran laps outside as it was very cold and about to rain. We were all very fit and strong.
We were all so good for our photos today. The photographer said we listened very well. We did 5 different exercises for Fiona Five.
